It rains here, a lot!

This week was great.

We had a lot of appointments and we are scheduling a baptism on the 30th of May. We are still biking and walking a ton, but this week we realized something about summers in Florida, it rains here. It's kind of scary, you just see a wall of water and think to yourself, we are doomed. You try to get to a store or a members home, but it's always too late, by the time you get there you're soaked, and you just have to wait out the lightning. That's the cool thing, the lightning and thunder are so cool, especially when you're not in it!

This week we got caught in the rain on our bikes 3 times. When you're on a bike you can't use an umbrella, and rain actually hurts. Biking in it is actually frightening, apparently it rains almost every afternoon in the summer so it will be hard to plan around since its so spontaneous, but i just bought a light rain coat so hopefully that helps.

Rain soaked after getting caught in a storm.

The mission has been talking a lot about hurricanes lately so that should be interesting. Apparently Sarasota means "safe haven" and the Keys protect it from hurricanes so im not sure what to expect.

I actually gave a talk this week in the ysa ward about eternal marriage and procreation! I know! Why ask a Missionary to speak on that! But it was all good. Maybe I'll send you the talk and you can read it or something. It was decent, but nothing special.

So does this mean no more truck or Suburban? Just the Rouge, Altima and Versa? At least you didn't get another hatchback. Oh! What colors are they? Hopefully like bright orange, metallic blue and, I know Mom likes dark red, haha send pictures. I cant believe you waited until I left to get 3 new cars! I was asking for so long, haha.

Also this week I met one of Jordan's companions! He is in the ysa ward down here. He asked me where I'm from, so i told him Rancho Cucamonga, California and he asked if I had a brother serve in Colorado. I said ya, in Spanish speaking, and he was Jordan's companion! He said Jordan was a good missionary! His name is Miguel Tenorio.

That is about all for this week, i have pictures, and there is a zone training tomorrow so that should be exquisite.

Oh, by the way I'm great. I had to pull out money for the 72 hour kit for hurricane season. The area upped it from $40 to $80 and I bought a lightweight raincoat. I used the cash I had, so it was only $20 out of the account, but I needed it. We got soaked 3 times this week I'll send pictures. ( see above)

I love you all and love hearing from you all. I am doing splendid, and love all your support. I will keep doing my best, which is the perfect amount!
