November 14, 2016

This week has been very good. Elder Foote is an incredible missionary with a tremendous drive to do the best possible job. We are getting along great and seeing miracles.

We have been blessed to be able to work with some very prepared people since we’ve been in the area, and the Lord is taking good care of us, and letting us help him in his work.

We are working with the members more than ever. Our new Bishop is incredible, and wants us in member’s homes, helping with their work, rather than finding people at bus stops, etc. It is probably the most difficult way I've worked on my mission, and I may not see the fruit, but this will help the ward reach its full potential, and we are seeing miracles!

We are having a baptism on Sunday for a kind older lady named Betty smith. She’s kind of like Grandma Janet; I think we are going to try and have Elder Foote Baptize her, which would be good for him. When we got to the ward, the sisters were working with her, (we replaced the sisters) so we kept teaching her and she passed her interview already, so it’s looking very good Talk about miracles!

I’ve been focusing on being the best I can, but for the right reasons and being consecrated. I am really good at getting the numbers and reaching goals, but after a recent meeting with a 70 to our mission, my perspective changed, not that I wasn’t following the spirit or seeing miracles, but now I’m just putting it in the Lord’s hands and sowing whatever he wants. It feels good. I’m happy planting, sewing or harvesting now. It’s a good way to live and feel the spirit more.

My bike went flat again, shouldn’t be too big of a problem, we will see

Working hard and staying focused 98 percent of the time, it is getting hard, but Elder Foote will keep me going and it will be great!

Love

-Elder Ellsworth
