Anyway on Thursday, we were biking to an appointment, we stopped at a bike shop to get my brakes adjusted it was 20 bucks! But my brakes work again and good thing. Later that same day we were biking and a car cuts us off (they were turning into McDonalds) so elder Bischoff hit the brakes, and then I did, but somehow my bike had a different idea and I guess I pulled the front brake too hard because I did a 360 somersault right off my bike onto the pavement, and sideswipe came right after me! (I asked Elder Bischoff later if it looked cool, he said it did and he saw it in slow motion) So I was pretty shaken up, I thought I was done with bike and car accidents. I went into McDonalds to wash up and my bike was fine, he's a trooper. Then when I walked out of the bathroom I see Elder Bischoff holding 2 ice cream cones. I guess he thought it was his fault, but the ice cream helped haha.
Anyway, after that most of our appointments fell through and it just wasn't really a good day but somehow I still had a positive attitude and was ready to go. Then we got the call.... the zone leaders called and asked to speak to me. They told me they were 100 percent serious and that I was assigned to be the new district leader over my district. Just when I thought I was getting the hang of things and going to have a nice easy transfer. But I am humbled and excited at the opportunity to serve my fellow missionaries. I cant say I'm not a wee bit stressed about it, but I am truly happy out here and I'm not as stressed as I have been in the past. It's amazing to see the Lord fulfill His promise that if we serve Him with all our heart, might, mind and strength He will make our burdens light and our yoke easy(or at least make us strong enough to bear it).
On a different day this week I bought a new umbrella. The strap on the one I came out with broke and I use the strap to put it on my belt. (I'll send a picture) So I bought a new one and there was a day it came down hard, like the hardest rain I've ever seen. We were walking and felt sprinkling so got our umbrellas out as fast as possible and then instantly it was upon us, and it was hot. The rain and lighting reminds me of the second hunger games. It's that loud and that much of it, it's awesome! But it comes from all directions, so we still got wet. Then on top of that you have cars driving by that love to splash you. I know I always wanted mom and dad to splash people when it was raining and they were walking, but don't, it's not fun, it's not worth it haha.
In brighter news we are having a baptism tomorrow of Ahmari Scherer, she is 9 and has gone to church her whole life. She's been waiting for her Uncle to come down to baptize her and he's finally here, we are glad to be able to help!
Well I'm doing splendid this week, I'm glad you are all, too. I love you and have a strong testimony of this gospel. the Lord is waiting to shower us with blessings. I encourage everyone to think of one thing they can change this week and one thing they can do for God, or someone else, and do it.
I love you!
