I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love my job! Missions aren't for everyone, but the Gospel is!!
So this week was pretty good. We might be moving into a bigger apartment because they took the missionaries out of the area next to us. We will find out tonight. I hope so that one is a two bathroom.
Well I'll get right to it... we were biking and I was trying to cut from the road to the sidewalk, and the grass was deeper than I thought and my bike started sinking and I kept going and fell off. I caught myself, but was going faster than I thought and ended up hitting my head on the ground. Yes, I am the reason they make us wear helmets! The only thing that was hurt was my ego. It has been a while. I was wondering when it would happen again haha.
We are teaching a couple of really solid people. An elderly lady named Sue Oakland, who has been catholic her whole life, but read the Book of Mormon, and is onto the Doctrine and Covenants. She quit her job playing the organ at the another church and told her family she was getting baptized. They told her she was going to hell. She responded "No I'm not!" She understands the gospel and the plan of salvation. She is getting baptized on the 24th. It's a miracle we get to help her make this step.
We are also teaching a cool 9 year old child of record. Parents are members but the child was never baptized. He loves Star Wars and Nerf guns, pretty basic hobbies for his age group. He is planning on getting baptized on the 23rd. He wants to keep it a small service, he is a bit nervous, but he is ready for it. Like I said, he loves Star Wars, especially Kilo Ren. I was wondering if there was a clip on tie that looks like his lightsaber on Amazon or something and if we could get that for him? Maybe as a baptism present? I think he would really like it. He has a toy version of it. It freaked me out when it came out the sides and top, haha AND it made me feel old.
Things are great here, I am serving and learning more and more each day. No regrets, best decision of my life.
We are planning on going to a zoo today, so I don't know how much that will be. I should still have plenty from Christmas.
My spirits are high and we are seeing miracles. I can't think of anything I need, besides the constant prayers to keep things going good!
Love you
-Elder Ellsworth
