Things are great out here in Florida! It was actually midnight for me when the ball dropped. I was asleep, but I was actually in the right time zone. I still celebrated at 9 though, when we got home. I had pumpkin pie and Martinelli's. I was going to do the club soda and apple juice but I was lazy. Overall a good new year though.

Everyone in Tampa and their moms use fireworks. We were in the ghetto on the evening of the 1st, not new year's eve, so we thought we were safe, but like i said were were in the ghetto...like shady Ontario or Fontana ghetto. People were driving by and yelling "Y'all better get out of here before you get mugged" but we had to go try to visit a lady so we pushed onward, pressed forward. the best part is we forgot the phone so we couldn't even call for an emergency evac, it was just us and them. So after we were leaving this lady's Shermanetta (sure-man-net-ta) apt. complex, some drunks started running at us so we took off on the bikes, we are fast, but they tried shooting fireworks at us. It's pretty crazy. We are like targets, but we stayed safe and made it out. Makes for good stories!

Transfers have changed, so we will find out if we are leaving tonight around 8 and will be transferred tomorrow at 10. I'll let you know what happens next week. I will most likely stay where I am now, but I'll let you know. Maybe I'll write you about it tonight, I need to do that soon.
